Terms, Part One
The structure of our work
1. Parties and Effective Date
This Coaching Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Compass Rose Direction, represented by Sarah Hoptman ("Coach"), and the individual signing below ("Client"). It becomes effective on the date the Client signs.
2. Program Description and Deliverables
The Inner Compass Blueprint is a private eight-week 1:1 program of coaching and spiritual direction built on the four-direction Compass Rose framework: spiritual, professional, familial and social. It includes one 90-minute opening session and seven 60-minute live sessions (eight sessions total, one per week), session recordings, between-session support on Voxer during business days, and a personalized Compass Rose Roadmap delivered at the end of the program.
3. Fees and Payment Terms
The program fee is $6,997, paid in full before the first session. Clients who enroll within the window offered after their free Mapping Session may receive the Fast-Action Scholarship, reducing the fee to $4,997. Any payment plan must be agreed in writing; missed installments may pause sessions until the account is current.
4. Refund Policy
Because your time is reserved exclusively for you, the program is sold as a complete package. You may cancel for a full refund within three business days of signing, provided your first session has not taken place. After the first session, fees are non-refundable.
5. Scheduling, Rescheduling and Missed Sessions
Sessions are scheduled in advance at mutually agreed times. Either party may reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are forfeited, except in genuine emergencies. If the Client is more than 15 minutes late without notice, the session is considered missed. If the Coach must reschedule, the session will be rebooked at no cost.
6. Pausing and Extensions
Life does not always cooperate with a calendar. The Client may request one pause of up to four weeks. All sessions must be completed within 16 weeks of the first session unless the Coach agrees in writing to an extension.
7. Non-Transferability
This program is personal to the Client. Sessions, support and materials may not be transferred, gifted or shared with another person.
8. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to arrive prepared, participate honestly, complete agreed reflection practices as she is able, and take full responsibility for her own choices, actions and results during and after the program.
9. Nature of Coaching and Spiritual Direction
Coaching and spiritual direction are forms of structured reflection and discernment. They are not therapy, counseling, medical care, crisis support, or legal or financial advice. Spiritual depth is optional and offered only as the Client invites it. The Coach will never tell the Client what her life should become.
10. No Guarantees
The Coach makes no promise of any particular outcome. Clarity, decisions and results depend on many factors, including the Client's own engagement and circumstances.
Terms, Part Two
How we protect the space
11. Referrals and Crisis Protocol
If the Client is in crisis or at risk of harm, she agrees to contact emergency services (911 in the U.S.) or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If the Coach believes another professional would better serve the Client, she may recommend a referral and pause or end the engagement.
12. Confidentiality
The Coach holds all Client information in confidence and will not disclose it without written consent, except where required by law or where there is a risk of serious harm to the Client or others. Coaching is not a legally privileged relationship.
13. Session Recordings
Sessions are recorded for the Client's personal use only. Recordings are stored securely, shared privately with the Client, and deleted within 90 days of program completion. The Client agrees not to publish or distribute them.
14. Intellectual Property
The Compass Rose framework, Roadmap template, worksheets and all program materials remain the property of Compass Rose Direction. They are licensed to the Client for personal use only and may not be copied, sold or taught.
15. Communication and Between-Session Support
Voxer support is available Monday through Friday during the eight-week program, with responses typically within one business day. Voxer is not for emergencies. Support ends when the program concludes.
16. Termination
Either party may end this Agreement with written notice. If the Client ends early, fees are not refunded beyond the Refund Policy. If the Coach ends the engagement for reasons other than the Client's breach, she will refund fees for unused sessions.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Coach's total liability under this Agreement is limited to the fees paid by the Client. The Coach is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the Client's decisions.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which Compass Rose Direction is registered. The parties agree to first seek resolution through good-faith conversation, then mediation, before pursuing any other remedy.
19. Entire Agreement
This document is the complete agreement between the parties and replaces any prior discussions. Changes must be made in writing and accepted by both parties. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
20. Signatures
By signing below, the Client confirms she has read, understood and agrees to these terms. Electronic signatures are binding. The Coach's acceptance is confirmed upon receipt of the signed Agreement and payment.
